Afghanistan Taliban Release New Video of the American Soldier & Prisoner (POW) Bowe Bergdahl

The Afghanistan Taliban have released a new video of their American prisoner, Bowe Bergdahl, a United States soldier from the First Battalion of the 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment's Fourth Combat Team (part of the 25th Infantry Division). He was captured on July 3 and was featured in a Taliban video released in late July (I wrote about this video in a PREVIOUS POST). He was featured in a second video released last Christmas day, which I wrote about HERE.

In the new video, Bergdahl repeats his call, perhaps made under pressure, for the United States government to stop its ongoing war with NATO in Afghanistan and to exchange prisoners. As in the first video released of him, Bergdahl speaks about his family and friends back home. At the end of the video, Afghan Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid reiterates his previous statement that his group seeks an exchange of prisoners. He made a similar statement at the end of the second video released on Christmas.
