AQAP, "Battle of Marib" English Translation of Video about August 2009 Clash with Yemeni Army

An English translation of Al-Qa'ida in the Arabian Peninsula's (AQAP) September 8 video "Battle of Marib" was released recently. It was translated by the Global Islamic Media Front (GIMF), a shadowy jihadi-takfiri media outlet that produces many translations of releases from a variety of jihadi-takfiri groups, including AQAP and Al-Qa'ida Central (AQC). The AQAP video documents an August battle between its forces and the Yemeni army in which the latter fared fairly poorly.

Captured Yemeni soldiers and military equipment are shown toward the end of the video. AQAP's senior military commander, Qasim al-Raymi ("Abu Hurayrah al-San'ani," the "one from Sana'a," the Yemeni capital) also speaks about the August attempt by AQAP to assassinate the deputy Saudi interior minister, Prince Muhammad bin Nayyif.
